Expert in High Productivity Freight Vehicles joins Advantia
Advantia is pleased to announce the appointment of former VicRoads staffer Victor Trumper as Senior Consultant.
While some in the industry may not know Victor, many will be familiar with the high-profile outcomes of his work while employed by VicRoads. Of most importance to Advantia’s clients are the Victorian High Productivity Freight Vehicle (HPFV) networks for 30m A-doubles/B-doubles, the Victorian PBS Level 2B (30m) cubic network and the foundations for a dedicated Victorian quad axle semi-trailer network and a Victorian PBS Level 3A (36.5m) network south of Ouyen.
“My motivation for joining Advantia,” says Victor, “is to help get more HPFVs onto the networks that I developed.”
Advantia’s Managing Director, Rob Di Cristoforo, sees more than just HPFV access in Victor’s future with the organisation. “Victor adds considerable heavy vehicle policy clout to Advantia’s service offering,” he says, “so we intend to strengthen our position as the go-to consultancy for heavy vehicle policy advice to governments and industry associations.”
Following various leadership roles in the VicRoads Registration and Licensing section, Victor joined the VicRoads Heavy Vehicle Policy section in 2011 and was responsible for a range of heavy vehicle policy reform initiatives including the setting of Victorian heavy vehicle registration charges, the management of heavy vehicle registrations under the NHVR and the assessment of the Hume Freeway for HPFV access. Building off the experience of the Hume Freeway HPFV assessment, Victor took the lead role within VicRoads for the assessment, gap analysis and development of Victoria’s existing and future HPFV High Mass networks. In this capacity, findings from the assessments and gap analysis were used to develop business cases for funding the removal of HPFV network constraints.
Advantia wishes Victor well in this role, and invites existing and prospective clients to contact Victor for a chat.
